This holiday is included in an educational project and constitutes a
work basis before and after the trip. It will eventually be evaluated like any other school work. - For underage children, a parental authorization for a minor to travel abroad is required (except for French passport bearers). - An I.D is necessary. You need between 3 to 4 weeks to obtain an I.D card. CAREFUL: You must bring over your own original I.D papers! Copies are for use by teachers only. - Don't forget your medical record - It has to be duly completed and signed - and ask for a European health insurance card (it's free). - The climate may be hard. Don't forget to bring over warm & waterproof clothes. - Think of taking a small backpack in order to carry your packed lunch and extra warm clothes. - You need a pair of flat casual shoes, we are supposed to walk a lot. - The local currency is the Pound. Its rate is quite advantageous at the moment. British Pound to Euro exchange rate Euro to British Pound exchange rate You have to order some in your Bank before leaving. - All the meals are included except for Monday's breakfast & lunch and Friday's dinner. Think of bringing your own sandwiches on departure day. You may need a little pocket money for Friday's dinner. - Electric plugs are different in Great Britain. You need a special adapter to use them (just bring 1 per family). - Take a notebook, a pen and a camera. - The coach that carries us throughout the week has to be kept clean. We are not supposed to eat nor drink on board. - Think of a small present you could offer your family the day before you leave. |
